Eligibility for Diploma in Elementary Education

For getting admission into this course you need to fulfill the following criteria:

  • Candidate should have completed 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • The candidate must be at least 17 years of age. (Maximum age limit may vary from state to state but is mostly 35 years)
  • For an online (NIOS) diploma the candidate must be an in-service teacher with minimum of 2 years of experience other-wise the diploma is invalid.

Admission Process for D.El.Ed

Firstly, you need to take the entrance test, and if you qualify the entrance test then you will be called for an interview. To perform well in the interview it is mandatory to have excellent communication skills and proficiency in the English language. The test score as well as the performance in the interview will determine your admission. D.El.Ed Syllabus

This course consists of four semesters. The focus of this course is mainly on children, education society and its issues, teaching environment, leadership, English language, learning mathematics, environmental studies, etc. It also has an internship at the end of last semester to give a practical experience.
