BA in Yoga – Scope, Eligibility and more

About the course

As mentioned above, naturopathy uses the body’s self-healing mechanism to combat various diseases, symptoms, and problems. It uses natural therapies such as acupuncture, homoeopathy, nutrition, herbal medicine, fasting, and exercise/yoga. Mainly, the BNYS course focuses on treating the cause and not the symptoms. It is an alternative to medicine, though not that popular yet more effective than modern medicine.

The BNYS course is four and a half years long, with a compulsory internship after the course. Additionally, the Indian government has set up a ministry for the promotion of BNYS and similar courses. It is called AYUSH, i.e., Ayurveda, Yoga, naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. Hence, a career in BNYS is both lucrative and promotes the rich cultural heritage that India is blessed with.

The average fee for the course is Rs.7000 to Rs.80,000 per year. This course is available in both government and private colleges.
