1. Can I take a semester off at FIU?
You may defer your enrollment up to 1 year. Request an enrollment deferral when you update your application and we will update you to the following year in the same term as you were admitted (early fall 2018 to early fall 2019; fall 2018 to fall 2019; etc).
2. How long does it take for FIU to accept you?
Application decisions are made typically made a week after all documents (transcripts, residency documentation, test scores, etc.) are submitted to Florida International University.
3. Does FIU send acceptance letters?
When you finish your application, you will be assigned a Panther ID and within 1-3 business days you will have access to your My FIU account where you can check your application status.
