The World University of Design, abbreviated as WUD, is a private university in Haryana, India. It was very recently established in 2018 by the Haryana Private Universities (Second Amendment) Act of 2017.
It refers to itself as the only university providing enumerable courses and programs in the creative domain. It has design and management classes as a master’s program and technical specialisations for an MBA degree.

Admission Process
The process of admission into any course in WUD has the following basic three steps as we have mentioned below:
Step 1: Admission Form
Students must submit a completed application form and the application fee, which one can find on the website.
Step 2: Aptitude Test
Students will take the aptitude test using the Admit Cards that will be made available online. Students will be shortlisted based on their performance, and the list of students who will advance to the next stage will be published online.
Step 3: Personal Interview
A panel will conduct a personal interview with the student. The interview panel will ask questions about the student’s chosen field of study. Hard copies of creative evidence (portfolios, drawings, photographs, crafts, etc.) may also be displayed.
Step 4: Offer of Admission
WUD will make an offer of admission to the successful candidates. They will send an email with the proposal. The admission letter will include information about payment of fees at the time of entry, Hostel assignment, and the date, time, and location of the academic session’s start.
GLOBAL PARTICIPATION & EXPOSURE
WUD maintains a global perspective. Many international forums are held there, including the prestigious Global Goals Jam, which UNDP and MediaLab Amsterdam co-host; Speculative Futures of the United States. Design across Cultures, which is based in the Netherlands and has partners from the United States, Brazil, Germany, Italy, and Korea.
WUD has initiated many academic events – the first-ever biannual International Conference on ‘Functional Textiles & Clothing’ in association with IIT Delhi, hosting over 200 scholars from over 30 countries in 2018 and 2020. WUD regularly invites renowned personalities to share their knowledge and expertise with students.
EXCHANGE AGREEMENTS
WUD continue to establish international exchange collaborations with leading education institutions worldwide to facilitate a constant exchange of students, scholars, research topics on every subject. Two batches of students have already undergone semester exchange with these universities in 2019 and 2020.

Q2. What are the eligibility criteria for getting admission to various programs of WUD?
Ans. Eligibility for Bachelor Programmes:
Candidates who have completed their 10+2 level or equivalent exams like AISSCE/ IB/ ICSE/ State Board etc. (in a relevant stream) are eligible to apply for undergraduate degree programmes.
In addition to marks in the qualifying examinations, the admission will be based on Aptitudes Test performance followed by a personal interview.
Eligibility for Masters Programmes:
Candidates who have completed 3/4-year full-time bachelors in Design/ Engineering/Architecture/ Fine Arts or equivalent are eligible to apply. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying exams and the results are expected to be declared latest by 31st October can also apply. The admission will be based on performance in Aptitude Test followed by a personal interview.
